JACQUI HIBBERD

Principal Clinical Psychologist, EMDR Accredited Practitioner & Board Approved Supervisor 

MClinPsych (Post-Reg), MProfPsychPrac, MProfPsych, GDipPsych, BPsychSci

Jacqui Hibberd is a Clinical Psychologist, EMDR Accredited Practitioner and Board-Approved Supervisor who has extensive experience in working with trauma and trauma-related conditions, PTSD, dissociation, anxiety and depression. Jacqui has particular interest and experience in working with Emergency First Responders and Frontline workers, and individuals with a variety of other trauma presentations.  

Jacqui has worked in a variety of settings including Community Mental Health and outreach, hospitals and within the education system, and is now passionate about supporting the community in private practice. 


Jacqui strongly believes in taking a warm, empathetic and holistic approach to therapy, with the aim of working collaboratively with clients to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. She frequently uses EMDR and related therapies, Parts Work, Compassion-Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

 

When Jacqui is not working, she loves exercising, cheering on the St Kilda Football Club, and spending time at the beach.

BRIDGET O’CONNOR

Psychologist &

EMDR Practitioner

Bridget O’Connor is a psychologist and EMDR therapist who has experience working with individuals across the lifespan who present with a diverse range of concerns. Bridget's particular interests include PTSD, complex trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and stress. Bridget has worked in a range of settings across disability, primary school, private practice and community mental health sectors.

 

Bridget has a passion for supporting clients who have experienced trauma. Bridget believes that establishing a sound therapeutic relationship with a person is very important, as well as creating a trusting and safe environment. The overall goal for Bridget is to help her clients to improve their wellbeing and to feel heard and understood.

Outside of work, Bridget loves spending time with her family, playing competitive sports, and enjoying music.

GRACE GAVAGNA

Psychologist & EMDR Practitioner

MProfPsychPrac, MProfPsych, BPsychSc(Hons)

Grace is a psychologist with a passion for working with the LGBTQIA+ community and other diverse groups. Her therapeutic style is highly person-centred as she acknowledges each person’s complexities and focuses on understanding their unique lived experiences. 


An important focus in her sessions is building a strong foundation of trust to ensure that you feel safe to share your experiences and be heard. She believes that a collaborative therapeutic relationship is essential and will work together with you to make sure you are getting the treatment that suits you best. Grace has an interest in trauma, anxiety, and gender or sexuality-related concerns.

 

Grace is also trained in the Gottman Method for couples therapy and works with couples to understand their unique challenges and move toward their relationship goals.  

 

When Grace isn’t hanging out with her dogs, she’s bringing home new plants for her already very full garden or starting a new craft project.

VICTORIA ARMAO

Victoria Armao adopts a collaborative and client-centered approach that aims to tailor therapy toward each client's individual needs and goals.  Victoria is passionate about providing a safe and empowering environment. She believes in developing strong therapeutic relationships founded on empathy and warmth to promote client wellbeing.

 

Victoria has experience working with a wide range of psychological concerns across the lifespan in both educational and private settings. She has worked with issues; including but not limited to trauma, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, stress-related disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

 

Victoria adopts an eclectic approach to treatment that draws upon a wide range of evidence-based psychological treatments such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and trauma-informed practices.

SONJA KATSIVELIS

Psychologist & EMDR Practitioner

MProfPsych, GDipPsych, BSci

Sonja is a registered psychologist with a Master of Professional Psychology from the University of Melbourne and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

 

Sonja has worked across community and private settings conducting individual counselling, group work, and school visits for the benefit of her clients. She has considerable experience and interest in working with children, adolescents, and young adults with anxiety, depression, ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties. Sonja also has experience conducting comprehensive cognitive and learning assessments and providing helpful reports with tailored recommendations.

 

Sonja employs a warm, caring, non-judgmental approach to establish a strong therapeutic relationship. She is able to engage a broad range of clients to facilitate open discussion of their emotions and personal concerns. She strives to empower her clients to become strong, confident individuals by providing them with the tools to navigate through the challenges they may face. These tools include the development of executive functioning, emotion regulation, social, and daily functioning skills.

MATTHEW STREBINOS

Psychologist & EMDR Practitioner

MClinPsych, BPsych (Hons)

Matthew Strebinos is a psychologist whose focus is on client-centred therapy to adjust treatment to the client’s specific needs and personal goals. Matthew adopts an eclectic approach by using a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions that match the needs of the client including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and positive psychology interventions. Matthew is passionate about providing a trusting, safe and collaborative environment where the client and practitioner collaborate to create meaningful and long-lasting change. 

 

Matthew has experience working with children, adolescents and adults in private, educational and public settings. He has experience working with clients presenting with a range of issues including mood/adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and physical difficulties including stroke, diabetes and bodily trauma. 

 

Matthew has a strong passion and curiosity for psychology and loves to read psychological and personal development literature. Matthew likes to spend his free time exercising and playing sports.

YAYA XIU

Provisional Psychologist 

Yaya is an AHPRA registered provisional psychologist with a Master of Professional Psychology from The Cairnmillar Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan.

 

With previous experience in individual counselling, school visits, and providing advice for children and families, Yaya’s journey for mental health advocacy was initiated by a profound desire to alleviate the struggles of those individuals facing mental health challenges. Her passion lies in empowering individuals, granting them a voice, fostering resilience, and instilling hope in their journey toward self-belief and recovery.

 

Yaya has experience in areas such as cognitive assessments like the WISC-V, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), emotional regulation techniques, and grounding skills, all of which profoundly shaped her approach to fostering mental well-being.

 

Outside of her work, Yaya is passionate about dance, including ballet and K-pop, spending time with her three cats Haku, Kiki, and Tofu, and some gaming to destress.

OLIVIA

Practice Manager

Olivia is our incredible Practice Manager, who floats between helping our clients with appointment enquiries, and supporting our psychologists within the practice. Olivia is one of the friendly faces you will see behind the desk at Everglow.

 

When Olivia is not helping our clients, psychologists, or the organisational needs of Everglow Psychology, she is working at a paediatric hospital as a registered nurse, as well as completing her post graduate studies in Business.

 

Olivia has a particular interest in mental health and community wellbeing. Olivia loves to bake sweet treats in her spare time, reading, and loves watching reality TV.

GEORGIA

Practice Administrator

Georgia is a part of our lovely client and admin support team. Georgia is another one of the friendly faces you see behind the desk at Everglow, and will help you with any queries you may have.

 

Outside of Georgia's dedicated work to our clients and Everglow Psychology, Georgia is studying a Bachelor of Psychology and plans to continue into post-graduate studies in Psychology, with the goal of becoming a psychologist herself.

 

Georgia is incredibly passionate about mental health and psychology, with a strong love for helping people. In her spare time, Georgia likes cooking, shopping, exercising, walking her dog and catching up with friends and family.

MICHAEL

Practice Administrator

Michael is one of the smiling faces you will find behind the desk. As one of our admin support team members Michael is dedicated to giving everyone the very best Everglow experience possible.

 

Away from his dedicated work in assisting our clients and Psychologists, Michael is studying a Bachelor of Psychology with plans to further his education with post-graduate studies, with the intention to become a psychologist himself with a focus on eating disorders.

 

Michael has a strong love for mental health and helping people. Michael likes to spend his free time exercising, catching up with friends and painting.

DEARNA 

Practice Administrator

Dearna is another friendly face in our admin team. With a focus on providing excellent support, Dearna is here to assist you with any inquiries or needs you may have.

Outside of Dearna’s work at Everglow Psychology, she is studying a bachelor of psychology and aims to continue her studies with the end goal of becoming a clinical psychologist. 

Dearna is passionate about mental and emotional health with a strong drive to help others around her. In her spare time Dearna loves to exercise, go shopping and spend quality time with her friends and family.
